Sherman is New England's most sparsely settled areas, consisting of approximately 4,012 residents (as per CERC Town Profile 2008) who enjoy the peace and tranquility of this historic town.  Voted Connecticut's #1 town several times by Connecticut Magazine.  This town offers miles of wooded ridges, historic farms and magnificent views of Candlewood Lake from the Southern end of Sherman.
